The preparation time is approx. 12.5 hours of which 12 hours are for marinating, the pure cooking time then takes approx. 60 minutes 

The ingredients for the hot chicken wings for 4 people 
  • 1kg chicken wings (approx. 12 pieces) 
  • 200ml ketchup 
  • Spice mix for chicken, dosage according to type and flavour
  • Chilli flakes or chilli sauce, dosage and spiciness to taste 
  • 1 tablespoon soya sauce 
  • 2 tablespoons rapeseed oil 
  • 1 red chilli pepper 

The ingredients for the potatoes au gratin 
  • 8 medium-sized potatoes 
  • Spice mix of your choice,
  • Dosage according to type and flavour 
  • 150g grated Emmental cheese 
  • 150g spring leeks 
  • 1 packet of sour cream

The preparation

First, prepare the marinade by mixing the ketchup, spice mix, soy sauce, rapeseed oil and chilli. You can adjust the spiciness to suit your taste, so we can't give you a quantity here, as everyone tolerates and perceives spiciness differently. 

Mix the chicken wings with the marinade and place them in a bowl with a lid in the fridge to marinate for 12 hours. In the meantime, you can pre-cook the potatoes in salted water and leave to cool. 
When the wings are cooked through, heat the Ranger with the grill to 180 degrees. Then take them out of the marinade and sprinkle them again with some of the spice mix. Now place them on the grill rack. Leave them there for approx. 50 minutes.

While the hot chicken wings are grilling, cut the potatoes into halves and hollow them out a little on the inside. You can use a teaspoon or a melon baller for this. 

Now season the potatoes and fill them with the cheese. Then place the potatoes on the wire rack and place it over the hot chicken wings. The potatoes gratinate there for approx. 30 minutes. After this time, the potatoes should have a delicious crispy cheese crust. 
To serve, slice the spring onions and chilli peppers into rings. Then put the sour cream in a small bowl and sprinkle with the spring onions. Sprinkle the hot chicken wings with the chilli peppers.
