New production site

.

Everything starts with an idea!

After more than 10 years at the Volkersheim site, which has been continuously expanded to its maximum capacity, the time has now come to expand. We are expanding our production capacity from 300m² to 2000m² at the new production site in Rottenacker. This also helps us to optimise production considerably, as all work steps can now go hand in hand centrally. This also benefits our business partners and customers.

Here is a direct insight into the current construction progress of the production hall in a short video.

Ground-breaking ceremony November 2022

The ground-breaking ceremony for a new phase of our Grillrost.com success story took place in November 2022. Everything is currently going according to plan, so we can expect the new production hall to be completed by November 2023.

Foundation

We have already laid our foundations well in Volkersheim. Grillrost.com has now developed a range of currently 290 different products there over 10 years.

As in Volkersheim, the offices in Rottenacker will also be located directly next to the production area. The foundations have already been laid in the picture.

Enjoyment

Of course, we can hardly wait to move our workstations to the new location and continue to test our products extensively ourselves. There will be a large barbecue area where barbecue courses will also be possible.

At the new location, we can provide a modern workplace for up to 200 people and are planning a product portfolio that includes 500 barbecue products.

Modern

The entire building will be upgraded to the KfW55 energy standard. Heating is provided by a heat pump. The hall is supplied with heat by a ceiling ventilation system and is also cooled in summer.

To ensure that every spot weld is a hit, the lighting is provided by energy-saving LED lights. A skylight dome in the centre of the roof and large windows also provide plenty of natural light for the workstations.
Modern

Self-sufficient

We achieve a largely self-sufficient energy supply through the capacity of 200m² of roof space for photovoltaics. Our forklifts are also supplied with energy in this way, as we will be using 100% electric forklifts.

The ceiling profiles are designed to reduce noise, which makes working even more pleasant.

Inspiring

The offices will be built on the north side. Exposed concrete and a glass façade with a view of the upcoming barbecue area are among the inspirations for new products.

The building envelope will be clad with matt black 160mm thick sandwich panels.
